And my name is 'D'...

It's been a while since I write my blog. It's because I was sick.............with the Bieber fever. Ok, it's a lame joke (I copied it from Ryan Higa though. He's my youtube idol. TeeHee). Ok, now lets get back to what I suppose to blogging about. I feel like composing a new post when I came across this one particular article. It really caught my attention. Because it had something to do with me; with my name. Owh, I guess my name is quite known since it came out in an article. But no actually - it doesn't have to do with my name but it does have to do with my first initial name. Huhh??

This is the original article entitled : People with the first initial "D" have the shortest life expectancy.
And I was like s*** what the hell? I mean how can someone's name determine whether they're gonna live long or the other way round? I don't think it makes sense at all. (But I think it does at some points). Anyway, here are the reasons (which I simplified from the text) why it does makes sense a bit.

Having a name beginning with "D" contributes to poor self-esteem
  • Ds constitute a poor achievement based on school grading system
  • "A" symbolizes the best whereas  "D" is regarded as almost a failure
  • Poor self-esteem lowers a person's defense against diseases
  • Those with name beginning with E to Z were described as 'grade irrelevant'
  • Those whose first name began with 'D' lived, on average, shorter lives than those whose names begin with E to Z
Here's another article : A first name beginning with 'D' could wipe 10 years of your life

Briefly speaking, those with initial A name are the one who live the longest just because their name is A and according to American School Grading System, A symbolizes the best. Sounds not bad uh... What claptrap!!

Well, maybe I indeed have a poor self-esteem but so what, it doesn't have anything to do with my initial name. Which are 'D' both for my first and second name, for God's sake! And guess what, sooner I'll graduate and extra 'D' will be added to my name. And that will make me a 'triple D'. Does that mean that my life will be shorten by 3 fold?

Anyway, good job to the psychologists or the researchers or what-so-ever that had succeed to come out with such a great research that I don't even care about (actually I do). Enough with this gibberish post, I'm going to take bath ^_^

P/S: One thing I couldn't agree more is that names can influence major life decisions. For example, people with the name Lawrence are more likely to be lawyer while Denisses are over-represented among dentists. So no wonder I choose to be a MD. Daphne is 'D' and Doctor is 'D' too. They're matching, no?

Just Started

Good day everyone..
Getting myself a blog today. And ya, it's just ABC. Filling all the common-personal-information "form" and poof! there you go, a new blog is contrived. I don't really have a solid crystal intention of why am I getting myself a personal blog. I just feel like making one. Creating a blog can be just in a blink of an eye but writing it is another matter to consider. It could take you hours or days maybe to just make one post. Even when writing about the simplest thing, say, your daily diary.
Since this is my first post, and am still an inexperienced blogger, I have yet to learn many things. The editing, the settings, and all sort of things that will make my blog looks more appealing and reader friendly. For the mean time, I'll leave it just the way it looks.
Okay, let's move on to the next thing about blogging. There are tons of things we can inscribe about. Music, hobbies, celebrities, food, pets, habits, jokes etc etc. And more serious matter such as religions, politics, global issues, and errr homophilia maybe? Ah, that word does not include in the English dictionary. And to some extent some might even express their feelings and emotions through their weblogs. "Oooh, I love him so muchieee!!!", "Shit! That b**** is better off dead!", "Bad day, feels like dying!!" blah blah blah.
Talking about the latter, I personally think it is not felicitous to blog about. I mean what good does it brings to others. The readers won't care the least bit the way you feel, how frustrated you are and those other claptrap that you burst out. Instead, informative sharing will give a nice bet to the readers. At least, there is some info they could glean and also it can reflect your intellectual thinking too. Rather than writing gibberish things which indirectly tell people how dumb you are.
Well, that is just my 2 cents. Enough for now. Sparing time to collect some data to share. Hope to come out with some brilliant stuff. Bye for now. God bless your day.
